I can see shades of May 2006 returning. Remember how stocks took a beater then only to turn around and leave a consolidation pattern in its wake? Will it happen again this time? More people seem to think so. Don’t bet on it. But don’t bet that it won’t happen either. The best anyone can [...]

Here we go again.. Party like it’s 2006
Published by July 31st, 2007 in Periodic Outlook. 0 CommentsAlthough I can identify some signs that the KLSE is weakening and approaching resistance levels. These are: negative divergence on the RSI, distribution, and pivot points. However, they are nothing more than just signs right now. Until the uptrend is violated, there will be no confirmation so I am happy to keep riding the uptrend.
First of all, I’d like to wish all my dear readers a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I am really looking forward to 2007 and another of year of trading and learning about the markets. I hope that you will join me as I continue on the quest to find my holy grail and [...]

My portfolio, which is measured against the KLSE as of 22 May 2006 (when I put this portfolio together), has dropped by 1.72%, compared to KLSE's drop of 3.58%. This is because of the 50% I still have in cash. Without it, the equity part of my portfolio would have been down 3.34% - roughly [...]
Plantation stocks have mostly traded up in the last few days, contributing the continued KLSE strength. Today's movement even formed a morning star. But I still think we're fairly near a top and this is a seller's market.
Anyway today by complete coincidence after I posted about wanting to look into plantations yesterday OSK research came [...]
I'd just like to clear up my comment below about being in cash. This is not because I think there will be a selloff. It is because I am a miserly trader from penang and want to buy things as cheap as I can. Therefore I am in accumulation mode.
Why do I not think that [...]
